VP - Operations Job Role

Job Summary: The Vice President of Operations oversees our operational departments, including Property Management, Maintenance Coordination, Support, and Accounting. The VP must be a strategic thinker with robust experience in operations management within the real estate or property management sector. This role requires a leader who can drive operational efficiency, enhance service quality, and foster team collaboration to achieve company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the Property Manager Department, Maintenance Coordination Department, Support Department, and Accounting Department, ensuring efficient and effective management.
  • Strategy Implementation: Work closely with the President to implement strategic plans that enhance operational efficiency, increase revenue, and improve client satisfaction.
  • Department Management: Lead, mentor, and support department managers, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each operational department, taking corrective actions as necessary to meet or exceed targets.
  • Process Improvement: Continually assess and improve operational processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the Accounting Department to manage budgets, control expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all operational activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards. Identify and mitigate operational risks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an operational leadership role, preferably in the real estate or property management industry.
  • Strong understanding of property management, maintenance coordination, customer support, and accounting practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency and company growth.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Operations Management, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using property management software and tools.
