HOLIDAY POLICY – EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2026

Our holiday policy outlines the days our company observes as holidays and provides relevant guidelines for holiday pay.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees and contractors paid through the DEEL platform. The provisions may differ based on an employee’s exempt or non-exempt status, as detailed below.

Policy Elements

Our company observes the following holidays in 2026. Dates are provided for standard Monday–Friday schedules. Employees with alternate schedules will receive a customized holiday schedule directly from management.

  • New Year’s Day – Thursday, January 1, 2026
  • Presidents’ Day – Monday, February 16, 2026**
  • Memorial Day – Monday, May 25, 2026
  • Juneteenth – Friday, June 19, 2026**
  • Independence Day – Friday, July 3, 2026
  • Labor Day – Monday, September 7, 2026
  • Columbus Day – Monday, October 12, 2026**
  • Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 26, 2026
  • Black Friday (Day After Thanksgiving) – Friday, November 27, 2026**
  • Christmas Eve – Thursday, December 24, 2026
  • Christmas Day – Friday, December 25, 2026

Note: These holidays are designated as “off-days” unless a department must operate for emergencies or with pre-approval from management.


Support & Maintenance Departments will maintain coverage on holidays marked with **.

Working on a Holiday

If working on a holiday becomes necessary:

  • Non-exempt employees will receive their regular hourly rate for hours worked.
  • Exempt employees will not receive additional compensation but may be entitled to a compensatory day off at management’s discretion.
  • Contractors paid through the DEEL platform: Holiday pay will be provided in line with their individual agreements.
  • Holiday hours are not factored into overtime pay calculations for non-exempt employees.

Holiday Pay Entitlement

  • Exempt employees: Receive their regular salary, regardless of holiday work requirements.
  • Part-time employees:
    • Those with set schedules will receive pay for the hours they would have worked on the holiday.
    • Those averaging more than 20 hours per week without a set schedule will receive 4 hours of holiday pay per recognized holiday.
  • Temporary non-exempt employees: Not eligible for holiday pay.
  • Contractors paid through the DEEL platform: Holiday pay eligibility is subject to the terms outlined in their individual agreements.

Religious Holidays

Employees and contractors may request time off for religious holidays not observed by

the company. To accommodate these requests:

  • Employees may use available PTO or take unpaid leave. Contractors may arrange for time off per their agreements.
  • Approval from management is required, provided the absence does not impose undue hardship on the company.

Additional Notes

  1. Emergency Operations: An “emergency basis” is defined as circumstances where company services are required to prevent harm or ensure safety and compliance with contractual or legal obligations.
  2. Holiday Pay for Remote Employees and Contractors: Holiday pay applies consistently, regardless of whether the individual works remotely or in-office, as per their employment or contractor agreement.
